| Bio: | 101 FACTS ABOUT ME (in no particular order) 1. I hate cold weather but will put up with it since the colder the climate, the more intelligent the people are. Or at least it seems that way to me. Maybe because while the people in warmer climate are busy doing things outdoors, the people in the cold are stuck inside and have more time to read and stuff. 2. I don't think I've ever been in love. 3. I love road trips. 4. I sometimes seem obsessive-compulsive. 5. I hate black jelly-beans. 6. In fact, I don't really like any kind of jelly bean. 7. I don’t mind being single, but I mind feeling single sometimes (especially at parties when everyone's a part of a twosome). 8. I feel like I’m the only non animal lover in the world. Not that I hate animals, I just don’t seem to like them as much as most people. 9. I like quoting from obscure movies just to see if anyone gets it. 10. I collect memories. 11. I’m an obsessive list maker. 12. I recently discovered that the more caffeine I drink, the easier it is for me to fall asleep (except when it's not). 13. My drug of choice is marijuana. 14. I love black & white photos (especially from the 20's and 30's). 15. My favourite colour is dark green. 16. I also like silver, black, red, and dark blue. 17. I watch between 100-200 movies a year. 18. If I’m reading a good book, I can usually eat an entire box of cereal (usually Crispix) without realizing. 19. I had a goal to get to all 50 states by the time I turned 18- that didn’t happen but I have now been to 48- and counting... 20. Pinball and skee-ball are my favourite arcade games. 21. I’ve won money in Vegas twice. 22. I’m addicted to Republic of Tea's Jade Mint Iced Tea (wish it was less expensive). 23. I’m a really bad liar. 24. I've never been star-struck. 25. The only thing consistent about me is inconsistency. 26. I have a VERY high alcohol tolerance. 27. I like reading reference books, travel writing, plays, history books, almanacs, novels, weblogs, and really almost anything at least once. 28. I’m a Pisces. 29. I can play a few instruments- just not any of them very well. 30. I’m addicted to trivia games- It Pays to Learn is one of my favourites. 31. I never cry during movies… well maybe once. 32. My favourite hobby is thinking. 33. I don’t have any tattoos or piercings (not even my ears). 34. I hate shopping (especially for clothes)! 35. I love the muppets! 36. I throw knives as a hobby. 37. I like Jones Cream Soda. 38. I have a VERY good memory (especially when it comes to numbers, too bad I suck at math). 39. I have over 400 CDs, tapes, and records and countless MP3s. 40. I used to be in a modern dance company until I got a knee injury. That's when I really started getting more into theatre. 41. I always have trouble typing the word "basketball" for some reason. 42. In fact, there are a few words that I have trouble typing (can't think of what they are right now). 43. I have insomnia. 44. When Borders Bookstore opened near me, I used to spend all my free time there reading and drinking coffee. One day I got there at 9:00 AM when it opened and left when they kicked me out at 9:00 PM. I wish I still had that kind of free time. 45. I can't stand clingy, dependent people- well, they're fine as long as they aren't like that with me. 46. I love strategy games and wish I was better at them. 47. I am a romantic person (although I can be on occasion). 48. I'm a people person I get along with everyone but most people don't seem to understand me or where I'm coming from. 49. I can see myself settling down in a small town in New England (preferably not too far from Boston). 50. I LOVE my mother and constantly worry about her. 51. Sometimes people think I'm arrogant- I don't mean to be. 52. I'm getting more and more irritated with the state of customer service in this country. 53. I wish I had the kind of brain that would allow me to go to school at Harvard. 54. I'm a libertarian in theory, but I know the people in the United States aren't ready to live under those conditions. 55. I love Christmas. It would be nice to marry someone with a big family so I'd have lots of people to celebrate with. 56. I hate ending a sentence with a prepositional phrase, but sometimes it just sounds better to. 57. Ralph is my favourite muppet. 58. I talk to myself a lot. 59. I talk to myself usually with a British accent. 60. I'm always more creative in the fall. 70. I've moved over 20 times (big moves and small moves). 71. I love to learn- about anything, except math 72. I love to travel, there are very few places I don't want to visit. 73. I've been in 4 car accidents (3 were considered my fault, but they really weren't- I just have really bad luck). 74. I especially have bad luck with counting on people and companies to get things done when I need them to. 75. I also have bad luck with cops. I've been pulled over countless times, and most of the time they've wanted to search my car. I got stopped by an undercover cop at a train station and he searched my bag. I had trouble getting into and out of Canada. I got in trouble for sleeping in my car in a hotel parking lot in New Mexico- the cops showed up and interrogated me and my friend for a while but when we told them there was no where to stay and we didn't want to fall asleep driving, they finally decided to leave us alone. I only had to take a breathalyzer test once (and it was during the day- an unusual time, don't you think?). 76. I did my fair share of partying when I was younger. I think I got it out of my system early since I usually prefer to stay home and relax these days. 77. I love parentheses (and I seem to use them more and more each day). 78. Music I've been listening to these days- show tunes, Frank Sinatra, Yaz, Tori Amos, Yello, Ian Anderson, Jethro Tull, Depeche Mode, Matchbox 20, Lacuna Coil, Moody Blues, Eric Lewis, Emmet Swimming, Placebo, Beta Band, Loreena McKennitt, Vienna Teng, Renaissance, Pink Floyd, Crass. 79. I don't understand people who feel they can only listen to certain music. I understand if you're just not knowledgeable about anything you don't hear on the radio or MTV (although I think it's sad), but I don't understand those people who will only listen to one genre or have to stop listening to an artist because they became popular (not because they just don't like their music anymore). 80. I have extremely weird eating and sleeping schedules (or lack of schedules, actually). 81. I love playing fantasy role playing games and winning money. 82. I've been to 15 countries. 83. Favourite cities: New York, Boston, Austin, Chicago, Savannah, San Francisco, London, Amsterdam, Seville, Marrakesh 84. I'm rarely jealous. 85. I love Scifi. 86. Some of my favourite Scifi shows are Stargate Sg1, Farscape, and the X-Files. 87. I love the the Lord of the Rings and anything J.R.R. Tolkien related. 88. I'm realizing that coming up with 101 facts is much harder than I thought it would be. | |
